Ravindrachandran Ashwin: This man brings India back in Chepauk Test.

Ravindrachandran Ashwin stopped the English batsman and he once again proved that he is one of the great spinners of this era by taking a 6 wicket haul.

The day started and we saw a single and unbeaten Washington Sundar(85) who was not able to complete his century becauase he didn’t get support from his batsman.

Kohli and his company wants to restrict England so that they can get sufficient time to reach the target. Now all depend upon the bowlers of India.

Ravindrachandran Ashwin is the first spinner in over 100 years to take a wicket off the first ball of an innings!

The Ravindrachandran Ashwin bowled really well and due to his spells he took some crucial wickets of Ben Stokes, Dom sibley and Dom Bess. He had a great economy rate as well.

The Jasprit Bumrah and Ishant Sharma both took 1-1 wicket. Meanwhile Ishant became 6th Indian to took 300 wickets in Test cricket and only third pacer to do so from India.

While the young turk Shahbaz Nadeem restricted the most crucial Joe Root. Joe root too palyed a knock of 40 runs. This was highest score from the second innings of England. None of them was able to cross half century while the entire team went to pavillion by scoring 178 runs.

Ravindrachandran Ashwin’s performance was amazing.

Despite all the efforts the English put a huge target of 420. The Indians opened with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill but Leach took the crucial member. Then entered the Chateshwar Pujara and Gill along with Pujara finished 4th day of the Chepauk Test.

Still India needs 381 runs in 90 overs at required run rate of 4.23. They must ensure that they don’t loose the wickets and play there natural game.

All hopes are on Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Chateshwar Pujara, Shubhman Gill and don’t foret that Sundar is there at the bottom to revive India in any condition. Ravindrachandran Ashwin is also a batsman and can play inning. For more info BCCI.
